Stanley Yelnats was always at the wrong place at the wrong time, it was told because of stanley's great-great grandfather Dirty-rotten pig stealing grandfather. His grandfather sang a song about a woodpecker. One day a pair of shoes fell on stanley's head and he ran away with it. The cops caught him and send him to the lawyer and the judge gave him a choice to go to prison or go to camp green lake. Stanley chose camp greeen lake and met Mr sir and Mr Pendanski the guard and the consultant

Stanley slept in barf bag's cot and he met a few friends called x ray, Armpit, squid, Zig Zag, Magnet on the first days stanley gets the splinters and found  out that X ray's Shovel was the shortest. Stanley found a fossil and was called caveman by the others. Zero was always the fastest to finish they say he eats the dirt. One day zero saw stanley's letter that he got from his mom and he said he doesnt know how to read and wants stanley to teach him but stanley says he is tired.

Stanley also found a lipstick container that belongs to kissin kate barlow. Kissin Kate Barlow was an outlaw that kisses after she murders, the story is because kate's boyfriend sam and his Selling buddy mary lou was killed and her school was burnt.

Kate Barlow 20 years later was found by her former student linda miller and her husband trout walker. Kate died bitten by a lizzard and she made sure than no one can find the loot she hid including trout walker himself. Kate Barlow died laughing.

It was ZIg-Zags birthday he had a fight with stanley beacuse of zero  keeps on helping stanley to dig his holes and he got angry about it. In a short lightning flash stanley saw a thing which was a gods thumb.
